The event aims to raise awareness on climate change related challenges for Namibia and climate finance opportunities, specifically with the view to the Green Climate Fund (GCF); present ongoing MET activities on climate finance, including the National Climate Change Strategy and Action Plan (NCCSAP), and thereby garner support for these activities across national institutions; and foster interactions between event participants to improve coordination among climate-finance actors.

This high-level cocktail event will be hosted by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) at the Hilton hotel on 13 August 2014 from 17:30 – 20:00.
