In January 2026, Professor Angela Kolb-Janssen was a visiting scholar at the Development and Rule of Law Programme (DROP). She is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Administrative Sciences at Harz University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Professor Angela Kolb-Janssen served as Minister of Justice from 2006 to 2016 and Minister for Gender Equality for the German Federal State of Saxony-Anhalt from 2011 to 2016. Her specific research focus during her stay at DROP focussed on “Gender Equality and Sustainable Development in times of conflict and multiple crises”.
